Estimados padres de familia,
Para preparar a nuestros alumnos para las exigencias del siglo 21, se le ha entregado a cada niño de 2º a 5º grado su propia cuenta de blog. Los niños estarán utilizando estos blogs para escribir al menos tres reseñas de libros por Cal ya sea en Inglés o en Español. Esta es una oportunidad maravillosa para que los niños fortalezcan y desarrollen sus habilidades en ICT y, al mismo tiempo, que muestran su trabajo al mundo!
Comprendemos que muchos niños no tienen acceso a su propia computadora, por lo que esperamos que ustedes le permitan a sus hijos utilizar la computadora de su casa para completar estas tareas. Si usted no tiene computadora o acceso a internet en casa, haremos los arreglos necesarios para que su hijo complete su trabajo en el blog durante su hora de Biblioteca.
Usted puede acceder al blog de su hijo desde la página web del colegio (haga click en Blogs y luego en UP ICT) todos los blog de los alumnos están organizados por el año de graduación de su promoción. Nuestras expectativas se pueden encontrar en la rúbrica que se encuentra a continuación. Las tareas de reseñas de libros se escribirán en el blog de cada grado cada lunes por la mañana y deberán estar terminadas el viernes de esa misma semana.

Dear Parents,
In order to better prepare our students for the needs of the 21st
century, every child from 2nd to 5th grade has been given their own blog
account. The children will be using these blogs to write at least three
book reviews per CAL for either English or Spanish literature. This is a
wonderful opportunity for children to reinforce and build on their ICT skills
whilst showcasing their literacy work for the world to see!
We understand that many children do not have access to their own
personal computer and we therefore hope that you can allow your child to make
use of the home computer to complete these tasks. If you do not have a
computer or Internet access at home, we will make arrangements for your child
to complete their blogged book review during your child’s Library time.
You can access your child’s blog from the school website (click on Blogs
and then UP ICT) - all children’s blogs are organised by their year of
graduation and class. Our expectations can be found on the marking rubric
below. The book review tasks will be written on the grade blog on a
Monday morning and will be due for the Friday that same week.
